Car-Tune - Kenneth Bray

This march is accessible to bands of all levels and its use of both 6/8 and 2/4 present a colorful change in pace moving into the trio. This is an outstanding addition to the first and second year band repertoire and will provide an opportunity to introduce or reinforce basic syncopation. The excellent melodic material uses only limited ranges and instrumentation. There is plenty to keep the percussion section busy; just double the auxiliary parts as needed. This is tasteful and appropriate writing for beginning bands.

Caribbean Delight - Victor López

A characteristic Lpez original for your earliest concert in the year. The Latin-based rhythm is the basis for this lively composition and there are numerous instructional opportunities for the introduction of style for your beginners. Extremely playable and solidly scored, you won't want to miss this selection to present a varied first concert. Highly recommended.
