Neon Canons is a blistering opener, named for its bright, colorful orchestrations and canonic textures. The piece opens with a contrapuntal section that builds over time before peaking and transitioning into an expressive melody. In the final portion, the canonic textures return, building into a final, frenetic push to the finish.
