£89.99Adagio Wind Band Set (Score & Parts)
The Adagio is based on a manuscript that was discovered in the Dresden State Library after the Second World War by Remo Giazotto, a Milanese musicologist who was working on Albinoni's biography at the time. Only the bass line and six bars of melody were found and they probably belonged to the slow movement of a Trio Sonata. In 1945 Giazotti reconstructed the now famous Adagio which has made Albinoni known to a worldwide audience. 0:04:30

£64.35All Those Endearing Young Charms
This solo has long been standard repertoire for serious euphonium soloists. Composer Mantia was the featured soloist of the Sousa and Pryor bands, and this classic "theme and variations" solo is a fantastic showpiece for euphonium. The solo part, while difficult, allows the soloist to showcase tone, technique and style, and the band accompaniment requires a minimum of preparation. Now available for the first time in a modern concert band arrangement, this is THE SOLO that all euphonium players should learn and know. Outstanding!

£144.99Andante & Rondo Wind Band Set (Score & Parts)
Antonio Capuzzi (August 1, 1755 - March 28, 1818) was an Italian violinist and composer who studied violin with Nazari and composition with Bertoni. In 1805 he moved to Bergamo, where he was professor of violin at the Instituto Musicale and leader of the orchestra at Teatro Riccardi. He was highly regarded there both as a teacher and a performer. Although popular in his day, most of his music is now forgotten; his most commonly performed piece today is the Concerto for Double Bass. All of Capuzzi's known compositions were written during his Venetian years. It was in Venice that Capuzzi became close friends with Domenico Dragonetti, Beethoven's virtuoso bassist. It is speculated that Capuzzi wrote his Concerto for Double Bass for Dragonetti. Gerald Oswald has made a fine arrangement of the second (Andante) and third (Rondo) movements of the concerto to feature either euphonium or tuba with concert band. The solo part is also available in an edition with piano accompaniment. 09:05

£60.00BANDOLOGY (Easy Concert Band) - Osterling, Eric
Here's an outstanding march that many of us grew up with, and now younger players can enjoy it too! And best of all, Eric Osterling's rescoring at this easier level still sparkles just as much as the original! The colorful harmonies and spirited melodies still sound fresh today, and Bandology offers an excellent alternative to the traditional march sound. A real winner! Grade: medium easy

£115.00BOHEMIAN DANCES (Concert Band) - Woolfenden, Guy
Includes:1. Shepherds and Shepherdesses2. Florizel and Perdita3. Dance of the SatyrsOne of my favourite Shakespeare plays is The Winter's Tale, and I have written music for three completely different productions during my time as Head of Music to the Royal Shakespeare Company. One, starring Judi Dench as both the mother, Hermione and her daughter, Perdita, had a big band Tribal Love-Rock score; another had a more classical, but timeless feel to it, and the last was an excellent small-scale touring production, for which I was allowed only a handful of instruments. It is from this source that the basic themes for Bohemian Dances, and an earlier version Three Dances for Clarinet Choir, have emerged. Act IV of the play is set in the kingdom of Bohemia - hence the title of the work.Shakespeare calls for "A Dance of Shepherds and Shepherdesses", which gives Florizel, the son of Polixenes, (King of Bohemia) a chance to become better acquainted with the beautiful Perdita, the lost daughter of Leontes, (King of Sicilia). This movement is written in seemingly tricky and ever-changing metres, but is rhythmically quite logical and melodically catchy. The slower second movement 'Florizel and Perdita' is the lovers' pas de deux: a gentle, slow waltz-like tune, initially presented by the principal oboe, is contrasted with a lndler-like double time melody, at the end of which a solo clarinet makes a link to the last movement.'Dance of the Satyrs' is a rip-roaring, foot-stamping dance performed in the play by 'three carters, three shepherds, three neat-herds, and three swine-herds', who enter in outrageous costumes representing the lecherous half-man, half-goat of Greek mythology. This dance is referred to as a "gallimaufry of gambols" - now where have I heard that word before?! - GW

£137.99Butterfly Overture Wind Band Set (Score & Parts)
Doesn?t everyone get butterflies in the stomach every now and then? Every person has known moments of being in love. Accordingly, in Butterfly Overture a charming love theme has been employed, which is introduced by the alto saxophone in the slow middle passage. Additionally, the butterfly is a cheerful flutterer that never moves in a straight line but always with an unexpected motion. In the Vivace the flute initially performs the fluttering theme, after which it has been instrumented in diverse variations throughout the entire band. A wonderful new addition to the Concert Band repertoire that will be a firm favourite for many years. 0:09:08
