£66.95Moorside March (from A Moorside Suite) (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Holst, Gustav - Wagner, Douglas E.
A Moorside Suite was written in 1928 as a test piece for the National Brass Band Festival championship competition held that year. The three-movement work includes a jaunty "Scherzo," a lovely "Nocturne," and the popular "March," which has enjoyed countless performances since its premiere. Douglas E. Wagner created this arrangement with younger players in mind. Though slightly abridged, the main themes and styles are present in a carefully-crafted performance piece accessible to concert bands at this level. This authentic arrangement still bears Holst's unmistakable musical signature.Duration: 3.30

Pungjazz was originally entitled Klppfesk as a part of my musical with the same name composed in the mid 1980s. It s a nice swing tune which Norwegian trumpet Ole Edvard Antonsen made well-known by including it on his album record Tour de Force (1992). Antonsen re-named it Pungjazz which is a more appropriate title for a trumpet player! It was also performed by Norwegian band Dance with a Stranger.- Frode Alnaes

£60.99Quebec Folk Rhapsody (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Buckley, Robert
The rich heritage of French-Canadian folk music dates back several centuries. Robert has chosen three of these songs to create a musical portrait of this colorful culture. The opening piece is the jaunty and dance-like "Monsieur Lecure," followed by the hauntingly beautiful "Blanche Comme la Neige." The piece concludes with the spirited march "Vive la Canadienne!," which features a drum break and builds to an exciting, rousing finish. £57.00American River Medley (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Wagner, Douglas E.
The major rivers which flow through the United States of America have centuries-long been prime vehicles for exploration, trade, inspiration, life, and general enjoyment for millions of people. Folk songs from the mid-nineteenth century chronicle their stories of love and courage, with three of the most beloved of these tunes incorporated into the fabric of this arrangement by Douglas E. Wagner. Opening with a gently flowing treatment of "Shenandoah," also known as "Across the Wide Missouri," the work transitions to a spirited rendition of "The Glendy Burk." A more sedate feeling for "Red River Valley" follows, with "Shenandoah" returning again in the upper winds in direct and effective counterpoint. A rousing coda, based on previously heard musical material, brings to a close this celebration of our most treasured American resources. Duration: 3.00
