£77.99The Mad Major - Kenneth J. Alford
The Mad Major was Alford's first post-war march, written and published in 1921. Like Colonel Bogey, with which the series began, it is cast in a double three-part form, the first of which allows the tune of the A part to serve, conveniently, as counterpoint to B.

£78.95The Stars and Stripes Forever (March) - John Philip Sousa
This arrangement sounds especially great. Andy Balent's setting is so stirring that your audience will want to stand up and salute. You'll find that the simplifications and range adjustments that make this work accessible to young bands have not diminished the excitement one bit. Some sections, such as the dogfight, do push the top end of this level, but with a bit of work, we think you will be thrilled with the outcome. This is a perfect flag waver for young bands.

John Philip Sousa is well known throughout the world for his successes with the Sousa Band, and for writing the most popular marches ever written. Some of his marches actually were created from music originally written for an operetta, From Maine to Oregon, based on musical themes from Sousas operetta, The Glass Blower, which was renamed The American Maid. This new edition is created from the original parts as played by the Sousa Band performing under the direction of "The March King" himself.

£267.99Between the Two Rivers - Philip Sparke
Between the Two Rivers was commissioned by Fanfare 'Prins Hendrik', from Aalst in the Netherlands. The title derives from the fact that the town of Aalst lies between two tributaries of the River Dommel. The community is a highly religious one, so the famous Luther chorale, Ein' Feste Burg, was an obvious choice for Philip Sparke to use as the theme for this new work. It takes the form of a theme with four contrasting variations. Variation 1 is a moto perpetuo, variation 2 has a slower march like feel, variation 3 is a sinister slow movement and the final variation is in the form of a lyrical fugue. Between The Two Rivers is sure to become a major work in modern concert bandrepertoire.

£74.95Sonata for Clarinet Op.120 No.2 in Eb (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Brahms, Johannes - Farr, Ray
'Scaff' is an adaptation of the famous 4th movement of the Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz in swing style. The story of the 'March to the scaffold' is a tragic one where the subject, in a depressive state over a love interest, overdoses on opium. He dreams that he has killed his beloved and after his procession to the scaffold is now witnessing his own death. This arrangement doesn't really reflect those tragic circumstances but instead redresses this great tune into a toe-tapping 'big band' number.
