This attractive march by English composer Rob Bushnell was awarded 2nd Place in the Band and Bugles of The Rifles Composition Competition 2021. This published version of the march is the same as that entered in the competition, however, additional parts not required for the competition entry have been added to cover more of the standard concert band instrumentation. Monck's March - Nigel Hess
This concert overture, commissioned by the Band of the Coldstream Guards in 2002, tells the story of General Monck's historic journey involving seven thousand troops on the arduous march from Coldstream to London during the winter of 1660. The main tune heard throughout the piece is based on an old traditional melody called Monck's March, long celebrated in the folk and morris-dancing worlds.

March - Rosehill was composed by the conductor of the Rosehill band, a one Colonel Albert Jakeway and was named after the premises that were occupied by the Salvation Army's Assurance Society when they were evacuated during the World War 2. Written in the traditional style of Fillmore marches, the piece features exciting parts for all instruments. Flurries of woodwinds and brass flourishes depict the pageantry of the area and repeated arpeggios and chromatic scales represent each of the two ensembles who performed the piece as part of a Memorial Day celebration.
