The piece begins solemnly in the middle register but gradually becomes brighter and more brilliant as the moon rises in the sky andbegins to give more light. After this somewhat stately introduction, a virtuoso allegro emerges, displaying technical prowess in all registers, before the piece culminates with a joyful mood of optimism. This composition was written on the occasion of the golden jubilee of the De Pinte wind band. This is also the derivation of Latin title Aureus (golden - from the word aurum, or gold). This work is comprised of three main sections. Thefirst and last sections are predominantly a musical setting of the concepts of celebration and joy in keeping with the theme of jubilee. The music is therefore above all dynamic, energetic and extrovert. The middle section has a more introspective,melodic character, contemplating the subtle beauty of life. Aureus is a newly composed chorale that establishes the most important attributes in life and also within a club or association: love, friendship, health and happiness.

This concert march was commissioned by Ishikawa Prefecture and dedicated to the 46th National Athletic Meeting in 1991 in Japan. It was first performed on March 21st 1990 by the All-Ishikawa Prefectural High School Band in the Kanazawa Kanko Kaikan Concert Hall, under the direction of the composer. The Trio is built on a traditional Japanese song which lyrics celebrate te joy of athletic competition among people of every age.

War and Peace was commissioned 2021 by The Royal Swedish Navy Band and conductor Alexander Hanson to mark the celebration of The Svea Life Guards' 500th anniversary.I. "Fanfares and Battle" opens in a heroic and optimistic nature but changes abruptly as the medieval hymn Dies Irae, Day of Wrath, brakes in. The battle commences. The movement ends with a recap of the opening part.II. "In memoriam" is a funeral march in memory of war victims and suffering people.III. "Peace and Rejoice" pictures soldiers and people celebrating that the war is over. The music reflects an atmosphere of dignity, optimism and joy for life.
