The people cheer and wave as the president starts to deliver his speech. Slowly their mood begins to shift and they become restless. Finally bored, the people begin to drift away. The finale accompanies people as they return to the city in search of more interesting ways in which to spend their time. The English musician Phil Collins has written six new songs for the animated Walt Disney film Brother Bear. His catchy pop rock is well known and popular with a worldwide audience. In Brother Bear, the young Kenai kills a grizzly bear to avenge his brother's death. Then he is magically transformed into a bear himself and he makes friends with the bear cub Koda. Together, they undertake a long, exciting journey in search of the mountain where Kenai can become human again. Meanwhile Kenai's remaining brother hunts them in order to avenge his family. Thus, the main themes of Brother Bear are brotherhood and friendship. On My Way gives voice to the courage and the determination that characterise Brother Bear. Peter Kleine Schaars has produced an excellent arrangement for band, which reflects the original film music very well. 0:03:45

Buried deep in the TIH'EK valley for almost a thousand years were the runes of an ancient people known as the RA'AK. These runes were of mythological importance as they showed in great detail much of the tribal life that occurred. The opening section is a description of explorers sifting through the dense jungle valley in search of a lost civilization. They make their discovery and find that music/dancing was a large part of tribal life both as a ritual and as a means to celebrate. While celebrating their find, the explorers determine that it would be wrong to disturb the site and thus retreat similarly back out of the valley leaving behind the Mystic Runes of Ra'ak.

The excitement of the journey turns melancholic for a few moments, as the gravity of their journey sinks in, but their courage is again renewed as the trumpets tell the story. A haunting flute and oboe duet foreshadows the inevitable crash portrayed with strong chromatic dissonances, into the ice and the loss of both ships and their crews. The journey has ended for these men, but their story lives on and Sir John Franklin is remembered as a hero due to his valuable contributions to the development of Canada's north. Highly recommended!

All Cried Out
At the beginning of the 1980s Alison Moyet was discovered by Vince Clarke, who - in search of greater independence - had left the successful band Depeche Mode. The soulful singing style of Moyet and the electronic, innovative pop that Clarke made melded well together in the group Yazoo with hits such as Only You and Don't Go. However, after a number of years Moyet went her own way and forged a solo career, during which she demonstrated a somewhat more traditional sound. She recorded several covers (such as The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face and That Ole Devil Called Love) but she also wrotefine songs herself, such as Love Resurrection and, of course, the expressive song AllCried Out. This arrangement by Peter Kleine Schaars does justice to the atmosphere of the original song.
