    Roger Cicero On Stage - Matthias Hass - Peter Schüller

    The son of a jazz pianist and a singer, Roger Cicero (born 1970 in Berlin) stepped onto stage for the first time when he was only seven years old! He went on to study piano, guitar and singing, and appeared with well-known swing and jazz orchestras. After first working as a composer, he began performing as a vocalist and represented Germany in the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest. Peter Schller has combined three hits from an artist who makes the language of Goethe swing: Frauen regier'n die Welt, Nicht artgerecht and Zieh' die Schuhe aus. This arrangement contains optional parts for piano/keyboard, and electric or bass guitar.

    Eres Tu - J.C.Calderon Lopez de Arroyabe - Roland Kernen

    In 1973 Juan Carlo Caldern wrote Eres Tu for the Spanish Basque pop group Mocedades. The song was placed second in that years Eurovision Song Contest and is one of only five Spanish language songs to get into the US top ten. Subsequently the song was translated into 15 different languages including an English version entitled Touch the Wind.     Volare - Domenico Modugno - Lorenzo Bocci

    In 1958, Domenico Modugno (1928-1994) song Nel blu dipinto di blu (or Volare) was the Italian entry at the Eurovision Song Contest. Modugno did not win the contest (he became third) but the song - a true sing-along - turned out to be a worldwide hit. In the course of decades, Volare has been translated into various languages, and performed by many artists of repute, like The Gipsy Kings, Dean Martin, Louis Armstrong, Petula Clark, and David Bowie.     Te Deum Prelude - Marc-Antoine Charpentier - Philip Sparke

    Who does not know the famous Te Deum Prelude by Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1634-1704)? This French composer studied both painting and composition in Italy. Returning to France, he took up the post of music master to the dauphin. He collaborated with Molire, working for the Thatre Francais until 1685. He then returned to court and was music director to the Princesse de Guise, composition teacher to the Duke d'Orleans and wrote music for the dauphin's chapel. His Te Deum, of which the Prelude has become well known (particularly in Europe, where it is used as the Eurovision signature tune) is one of many pieces he wrote for important state and religious occasions.

    Ding-a-Dong - Thijs Oud

    The group Teach-In, from the Netherlands, won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1975 with the song Ding-a-Dong. It was the fourth time that a Dutch entry had won the prestigious festival but since then no Dutch artist has even come near first place again. The original Ding-a-Dong was performed, in keeping with tradition, with the accompaniment of a large orchestra.
