£392.50Prillar&Halling - for Solo Clarinet and Wind Band - Stig Nordhagen
Prillar has it's origin from Norwegian folklorist music. It's a way of calling and singing the cattle home from the fields. Halling is a wellknown folk dance from the valleys in the eastern part of Norway. In this work, the clarinet use the prillar to get the other musicians to join in. The melodic material in Prillar and Halling hasn't got all the sound of Norwegian folklore exclusively. You can also hear folkloric music from other nations. The idea is to show the similarities between these and also the small differences there are between folkloristic elements from a large area. The piece also contains the folk tune "Adam in paradise", from south of Norway. At the end, thetunes are stacked on top of each other, and the similarities of origin turns out. - Stig Nordhagen -

The Music Lesson - Robert W. Smith
Inspired by the command and structure of two Henri Matisse paintings under the name "The Music Lesson", this powerful work for alto saxophone and band will become a staple of the repertoire. From the strict structure of the opening piano statement to the classically influenced melodic interplay with the saxophone, the piece moves through a flowing musical environment highlighted by a virtuosic cadenza. The recapitulation of the initial melodic line completes our music lesson and provides a strong conclusion to "Three Conversations With Matisse", a suite for alto saxophone and band.

£69.00Music to Watch Girls by - Sid Ramin
Music to Watch Girls By was the first top 40 hit from Bob Crewe with his band, The Bob Crewe Generation. He had heard the melody (composed by Sidney Ramin) in a commercial for Pepsi Light. The original instrumental version featured the trumpet and saxophone, but later Andy Williams turned it into a vocal number. This piece is a great concert closer, which will have your audience singing all the way home with this pretty melody ringing in their ears.

£76.99Rock Music - Alex Shapiro
Alex Shapiro first brought electroacoustic music - paired with using an everyday object as an instrument - to middle school bands with her 2010 piece, PAPER CUT. Now comes ROCK MUSIC, possibly the very first geo-electroacousticminimalist band piece, largely devoid of melody, and of rhythm. Conceptual and atmospheric, the music features compelling textures from instruments, voices, and rocks that weave a wind band into a piece of sonic fabric stretchedacross linear time. As the notes slowly crawl, melt, and scrape over a sonic landscape in random, irregular ways, we're connected to the ancient glaciers which carved the world we know, and which we strive to protect. Like PAPERCUT, ROCK MUSIC can be equally appreciated by mature bands and their audiences, as well. To perform ROCK MUSIC, you'll need an audio system capable of playing the prerecorded audio tracks from a laptop computer via a small digitalaudio interface connected to an audio mixer. Download information is provided in the printed piece. Dur: 4:15
