£186.20Une Vida Un Dia - Pablo C. Escande
The title a life, a day or life as one day is the basis of the musical contents of this composition. It consists of five parts and is written in a neo baroque style, combining a number of baroque music elements, such as imitative counterpoint, abundant ornamentation and tutti solo effects, with more contemporary elements such as composed rhythms, modal harmonics and dodecaphony.Part 1: Alba - Dawn. Just before the sun rises, the world is full of tensed expectation of a new beginning. At daybreak a new life is received with cries of jubilation.Part 2: La Maana - Morning. The early life has begun. Hardly conscious of its environment, the child is resting in its mother's loving embrace.Part 3: Mediodia - Midday. Now is the time! Time to work, to love and to dance in the midday sun, but also to start the fight, before strength is flowing away. Let's not waste time!Part 4: Tarde - Twilight. The day is not over yet, but time passes by. Dusk is falling, the end approaches inevitably...Part 5: La Noche - Night. The comforting dark relieves the strong anxiety of the soul. Finally the soul is released of all worldly bonds.

£116.40Contos Da Lua Nova - Afonso Alves
Contos da Lua Nova (New Moon Tales) is inspired by stories always present in the composer's mind. Some of them marked his childhood, others are part of his cultural range as an adult. In this ouverture the composer wanted to reaffirm the child inside of each grown-up, reinventing each story with instrumental resources.Besides the instrumental version, this piece was conceived having choral interventions, optionally. The choral works more like an instrument, having the function of identifying each story.

£71.50Dreidl Adventure - Scott Watson
A dreidl is a four-sided toy marked with Hebrew letters and spun like a top in a childrens game of chance. Playing with a dreidl at Hanukkah can be more than a game; in the mind of a child it can be an adventure. This fanciful premise inspired this spirited setting with the intense rhythmic drive of the beloved melody SVivon (The Dreidl), all within the ability level of younger players.

£82.50On A Catalonian Carol - Randall D. Standridge
On a Catalonian Carol is a setting of the traditional Catalan carol El Noi de la Mare (The Child of the Mother). This lyric carol originates from the Catalan region of Spain, and the stylish influences of that country are evident in the flowing lines of the touching melody. This setting is not a direct transcription of the song but rather a carefully scored rendition that supports and enhances the elements of the original, allowing the simple beauty of the melody to be placed on full display.

£137.00Miracle on Prince Street - Gary P. Gilroy
This spectacular tour-de-force was written in memory of the composers mother and was inspired by her charitable deed one Christmas eve. The resplendent writing includes unpredictable changes of style that range from solemn hymn statements to careening passages of wild abandon, humor, and stylistic references to the polka music the composer heard as a child. All of this is topped by virtuosic solo and section writing that features every section. A remarkable work for upper-level bands.

£104.99Power Play - Thomas Doss
The composer has dedicated this piece to hischildren. From a parent's point of view, childhoodpasses by too quickly. However, at other times thedays seem endless - particularly those days whenchildren keep their parents so busy and pushed tothe limit that they don't know if they're coming orgoing. Scraped knees, crayoned walls and ravagedplayrooms are the ingredients for a battle of wills -a real "power play." However, one enchantingsmile from a child is enough to make the hardwork worth it. This piece was written in the middleof teddy bears, toy cars and Lego bricks.
