A simple melody alternated in E-dorian and E-minor in a 6/4 beat time, however, including all characteristics of Big Band Swing Music. The title of this piece refers to the albums 'Birth of the Cool' from Davis (1957) and 'Time Out' from Brubeck (1959)Both albums inspired Mark Hendriks to write this mesmerizing piece for Concert Band nd Big Band!
