Miles Davis with his modal 'cool' jazz and Dave Brubeck with his unusual timing. 'A Cool Six' combines concepts of both gentlemen. A simple melody alternated in E-dorian and E-minor in a 6/4 beat time, however, including all characteristics of Big Band Swing Music.
