    Infinity Chase - Carlos Amarelinho

Man has always had an incessant thirst for knowledge, for discovering new paths, new horizons and anything that can take him further in his existence. From the discovery of the wheel to the latest technologies, man has always challenged himself to go further. This original work aims to reflect all the energy of this uninterrupted human journey, all the emotions we undergo, from the euphoria of success and discovery, to the sadness of disappointment and failure. No matter everything, and no matter how much man has already conquered, man will continue to pursue the infinite.

    Milestone Overture - Dirk Brossé

This work was written at the pivotal point of both two centuries and two millennia. With its hopeful melodies and triumphant parts in the brass section, the opening pictures the dawning of a new era of great expectations, characterized by the high speed of communicating all over the world, which is one of the most important aspects of life in the 21st century. This is achieved by musical themes being rapidly transferred from one musician to another. In this vortex of information and fast business transactions, the sense of individuality threatens to become extinct. At this point, Brosse silences the orchestra (a symbol of society) and draws attention to those peoplewho are less fortunate than most of us. This focus on other people culminates with an orchestral climax in which all powers come together with a feeling of euphoria.

The River Knows Your Name (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - De Haan, Jacob

This work describes the way the German river Saar holds the names of all the people who once lived in the area and of those who live there now. The introduction depicts the river flowing toward its confluence with the Mosel. The first names revealed by the river, in a dance, are those of the Romans, who established their first settlement here. Then the beautiful Saar Cathedral is portrayed, where believers give voice to the names of the people they know. Next, a powerful passage resounds: a reflection of the entrepreneurial spirit in Dillingen that has taken shape through the famous metal industry. Via a short clarinet solo, the work flows toward its conclusion in an emotional, stirring fashion, from nostalgic strains to full-blown euphoria.Duration: 9.00
