Good 4 U
"Good 4 U", the popular and upbeat song by superstar songwriter and performer Olivia Rodrigo, has topped the Billboard charts and appears on the artist's debut album . She has been active as a professional singer and songwriter since she was 12 years old and can serve as an inspiration to young musicians. Like many pop songs, the care in performing syncopation and various articulations will provide a more authentic sound. Arranged by Chris M. Bernotas, the energetic music, powerful infectious chorus, and pure emotion will permeate the concert hall. (3:14) This title is available in MakeMusic Cloud.

Latin American Symphonette (Symphonette No. 4) - Morton Gould
Morton Gould, equally comfortable in the worlds of both "serious" and "light" music, presented his symphonettes (an Americanization of the term "sinfonietta," much like kitchenette and dinette) as works of a truly American vernacular, drawing on popular culture as well as classical forms. His Fourth Symphonette is a departure from the musical language of the previous symphonettes, as it is bursting with latino rhythms, each distinct style in its own movement: I. Rhumba, II. Tango, III. Guaracha, and IV. Conga. Completed in 1940, the work was premiered by the NYA Symphony in New York, under the direction of Fritz Mahler. The saxophones, guitar and piano, although desirable, are optional and fully cued in the other parts. Generally, all parts are well cross-cued so that the work can be performed with a smaller orchestra. Instrumentation in set: 3(1&3 d.Picc).2.3(+BCl).2: 2ASax(dCl).TSax(dCl).BSax(dCl): 4.3.3.1: Timp.Perc.(3): Hp.Gtr.Pno: Str(9.8.7.6.5).

Pictures at an Exhibition, Part 4: Promenade; Ballet of the Chicks in Their Shells; Two Jews, One Rich, The Other Poor - Modest Mussorgsky / arr. John Boyd
This is an impressive and massive work for mature bands! Boyd's setting is not a simple rehashing of the famous Ravel orchestration, as Boyd remains more faithful to the bold musical language of Mussorgsky's original composition. This exciting work fits the bill for better high school and college bands, yet is substantial enough to meet the needs of professional organizations as well. The work is available in its entirety with all seven sections and the score included at a value-minded price, or each of the individual sections may be ordered individually as a set of parts only and the complete score (10105314) may be purchased separately should only certain sections be of interest. The sections include: Part 1: Promenade; Gnomus-Gnomus. Part 2: Promenade; Il Vecchio Castello.Part 3: Promenade; Tuileries; Bydlo. Part 4: Promenade; Ballet Of The Chicks In Their Shells; Two Jews, One Rich, The Other Poor; Promenade. Part 5: Limoges-The Market Place; Catacombae; Cum Mortuis In Lingua Mortua. Part 6: The Hut On Fowl's Legs. Part 7: The Great Gate Of Kiev.

Finale (from Opus 48, Movement #4 (Terma Russo)) - Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky / arr. Victor López
Long a staple of the string orchestra literature, the most cherished sections of the Finale from Tchaikovsky's "Serenade for String Orchestra" has been transcribed for concert band. Originally performed in 1881, it was an instant success. The work is bright and lighthearted in contrast to the melancholy nature of the majority of his repertoire. A lively choice!
