£76.99Pasovario (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Laseroms, Wim
The compound title of this work reflects its musical content. 'Vario' refers to the two different meters - 3/4 and 2/4 - in which this paso doble has been written. The compact, powerful opening is in 3/4 time: it is followed by a melodic, cantabile second theme, in the beautiful chalumeau register, in 2/4 time. This refreshing piece sets a great tone for your concert!Duration: 3.10

£99.95Scenes from Modern Life (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Wiffin, Rob
This suite depicts various aspects of contemporary existence. First there is The Beating Heart of the City (3.20) with its clamour, jagged edges and persistent nervous energy. This is followed by an aspect of life that is timeless ?€" the vista of Clouds (3.30). This quiet and impressionistic movement is all about shapes gently forming and then merging and shifting. Finally, Coach Ride (3.06) is a manic journey on a bus (obviously not taking in the M25). This fast and furious little piece was originally written as an encore for the Buckinghamshire Symphonic Wind Ensemble. It is a romp of a coach ride during which a couple of nursery rhymes appear, including ?€The wheels on the bus go round and round?€.Duration: 10

£57.50Uproar (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Oare, Michael
Written in a driving fast tempo, this exciting work by Michael Oare incorporates the metric grouping of 3+3+2 as a recurring motif. At times superimposing layers of simple meter feel along with more complex patterns, Uproar generates energy and excitement while using a variety of textures and colours within the wind and percussion sections. An impressive-sounding work for young players.Duration: 3:30

£84.99Applause! (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Sakai, Takamasa
This piece was inspired by a variety of music such as Broadway musicals, French cancan, and circus marches. A special rhythm pattern called "Ipponjime" (or "Sanbonjime") is played by the percussion (3 + 3 + 3 + 1) in the first four measures. This is how people freely clap their hands when ceremonies or parties end in Japan. This custom of clapping hands reflects Japanese people's spirit to readily move on to the next step. As the infectious work comes to its exciting conclusion every player shouts "yeah!" ensuring you will definitely hear rapturous applause!Duration: 2:15
