Radiant Horizons - Gauthier Dupertuis

As part of its 850th anniversary celebrations, the Swiss municipality of Reinach (Canton of Basel-Land)) commissioned Gauthier Dupertuis to write an energetic and engaging work for its wind band, MG Konkordia Reinach, under the direction of Maestro Miguel Etchegoncelay.Originally titled Reinach Jubilee, Radiant Horizons, takes the form of a miniature overture, driven by an almost continuous pulse from beginning to end. Its opening section, decidedly festive in character, contrasts with a more tranquil central episode before gradually returning to the solemn and jubilant spirit of the opening.Radiant Horizons: a festive overture both exciting to perform and rewarding to listen to!
