An original piece based on the African musical tradition. Maisha ni Zawadi is Swahili and means life is a gift. The arrangement of the chorus is based on how an East African choir would have performed the song. The song is based a lot on the percussion groove, and is particularly suitable for bands and ensembles that want to show off the percussion section. Majestic Entrance is a festive opening work with cinematic influences. It was written for the Swiss Musikverein Muttenz; this music society celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2021, more than enough reason for a commissioned composition. The work consists of three movements: a heroic opening passage, a lyrical middle movement and a return to the opening. All in all a composition of majestic charm! Duration: 4.15

In Majestic Prelude the instrumental music is closely connected to the text and vocal music. The work is based on a well-known psalm melody. As the title suggest, it begins with a majestic introduction, in which several sections of the psalm are heard. Various instruments play around with fragments of the familiar tune. The title of Majestica is taken from the word "majestic" which means "having or displaying great dignity or nobility" and was inspired by Psalm 8:9. It was composed for the 8th grade band members of the Madison County Central School Band 2006-2007 as an expression of my appreciation for their encouragement and positive impact in my life. It is my hope that Majestica will provide students with a song that they will enjoy learning to play and provide other music educators with a teaching tool that can be used in helping to motivate and encourage their students

Majesty (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Deleruyelle, Thierry

Majesty is a powerful and spectacular overture. Right from the start, the brass open the work brilliantly before making way for a majestic hymn mostly played by the woodwind. The end of the piece repeats the opening fanfare as a monumental finale in the style of an American symphonic march. This work was commissioned by the Bourbourg Wind Orchestra (France), conducted by Claude Deconinck, on the occasion of its 230th anniversary. This piece was premiered by the commissioning orchestra on 19 November 2022, just two months after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Naturally, this work is dedicated to her.Duration: 6.15
