Adventure in India - George Sweet

Adventure in India was written to evoke the musical styles heard in Bollywood movie soundtracks. This style of music has strong Indian folk influence, but a variety of other world music is incorporated into the piece. This makes the piece fresh and different from the normal beginning band pieces, and with the more exotic percussion it truly has the flavor of music from India.

Adventure Land - Thierry Deleruyelle

Adventure Land was commissioned by Clermont Communaut and the CREA (the directors of the local music schools and conservatories) in France. This work was the opening piece of a show combining orchestra, choir and actors. The story takes place in the city of Clermont-Ferrand, which an explorer discovers through a series of riddles and adventures. Adventure Land is written in the form of a symphonic march which features a slow and pleasant passage in the middle of the work. The result is a dynamic and playful piece, similar to the style that one might find in cartoons or in animated films.

Adventure Overture - Timothy Loest

This three-part overture is extremely easy to put together and is an ideal transition from beginning band literature. Special attention is given to low brass parts, insuring that they are not too difficult. A lush lyrical section provides for some more interesting harmonies, yet is very approachable by bands at all levels. Use this section to work on balance and musicality with your ensemble. A D.C. al Fine completes the framework of this piece.

Adventure Tale of Neverland - Daisuke Shimizu

Commissioned by the Rave Group Int'l and Hong Kong Band Directors' Association for the 7th Winter Band Festival 2015, this piece was completed in August of the same year. Ten years before I wrote "Adventure Tale of Professor Alex"(Brain/Bravo Music), setting the exploits of this imaginary character to music. From the same series now comes "Adventure Tale of Neverland" depicting fantasy adventures of the famed Peter Pan.The piece begins quietly with sound of the Great Bell of Big Ben, after which the main theme is introduced. As with the preceding work, please enjoy imagining Peter Pan's adventures to produce a spectacular musical voyage.
