Elysium - Thomas Doss

Vienna has been declared 'the most liveable city in the world' in various international rankings. Reason enough for the composer to title this work Elysium - which, according to Greek mythology, is 'the dwelling place of the blessed' - and to send the listener seven different musical postcards from this beautiful city. These seven movements are played without any interruption. The work begins brightly and full of zest, featuring many different musical styles in an evocative way.
