Christmas At The Symphony - Michael Story

Celebrate the holidays with the masters. Representing Mozart's "Sleigh Ride" (German Dance No. 3), Tchaikovsky's "Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy" from The Nutcracker, and Bizet's "March of the Kings" (a 13th century traditional French carol included in his L'Arlsienne Suites Nos. 1 and 2. Three-four and four-four meters are explored with a variety of textures and voicing shifts in this medley of joyous familiar holiday themes. Simply glorious! (4:00)

Christmas Bells and Brass - Larry Neeck

A unique Christmas medley which features an optional brass quartet (2 trumpets, horn - cued in alto sax - and trombone) from within the band. Carols included are "O Come All Ye Faithful," "Deck The Halls," "Silent Night," and "Jingle Bells". Very playable, the use of the brass quartet allows you to feature four of your best brass players, and Larry's excellent arrangement guarantees it will be a big hit at any holiday season performance! Christmas Bells Are Ringing - Darren W. Jenkins

Christmas Bells are Ringing is a work of three holiday songs, all with the common theme of the joy and happiness that the ringing bells of the season can evoke. The introduction includes quotes from both Ding! Dong! Merrily on High and Jingle Bells before transitioning into the first carol, Ding! Dong! Merrily on High. The slower, lyrical section of the work is based on the moving melody of I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day. The closing section features Jingle Bells with a few fun surprises thrown in to lead the piece to a festive conclusion. A delightful work that will highlight any seasonal performance.
