The Innocent Condemned tells of the so-called buck riders (bokkerijders) who, in the middle of the 18th Century caused mayhem in the area around Limburg. Calmer passages in the music depict the fear of the locals, while a vivo furioso describes a night raid, and powerful drum sounds together with emotional musical lines illustrate the execution of an innocent. Concert Band - Grade 3 Dedicated to the Pan-American Exposition held the summer of 1901 in Buffalo, Sousa himself thought this marvelous 6/8 march was the equal of the more famous Stars and Stripes Forever. Jay Bocook has fashioned this very playable and enjoyable version for the contemporary concert band.

The Irish Baker

Two fiddle traditions are combined in this lively setting for concert band. The American bluegrass favorite Angelina the Bakeris creatively combined with the style of a Celtic dance tune!
