A slow, expressive, sustained work, it was written to help develop intonation, expressiveness, and phrasing, and for the limited instrumentation of that ensemble. (It has been rescored for a full instrumentation.) This piece can succeed with a limited instrumentation, and most certainly by bands without the instruments that were addeD. ( 4 minutes 30 seconds).
