Along the River - Hermann Pallhuber

Along the River was commissioned by the Wind Band Kundl in Austria to commemorate its 225th anniversary of making music and spreading joy! To add a personal touch to this composition, Hermann Pallhuber drew inspiration from the Kundler-Klamm canyon. The sights and sounds of nature particularly inspires him: the roar of the water winding its way through the canyon or the sun rising behind the mountain peaks. Breath-taking musical images will captivate your audience. All the movements in Along the River will challenge your band but reward them with a fulfilling musical journey.

Along The River's Shore - Swearingen

The beautiful and stunning Navesink River is an estuary, approximately eight miles long and located in Monmouth County, New Jersey. This natural landmark inspired the composer to create a musical work that reflected the positive spirit that he found to be pervasive throughout the surrounding communities. When asked to describe the beauty of the river, people would often reply "simply breathtaking!" Musically rewarding!

Along the Weser - Jacob de Haan

Along the Weser, as the title suggests, is an homage to the river Weser, the beautiful waterway that meanders through Northern Germany. With its exuberant rhythms and lyrical melodic lines, the work mirrors the strong bond between theinhabitants of the region and the river itself. The connecting thread is the melody of the well-known 'An der Weser', composed by Gustav Pressel to lyrics by Franz von Dingelstedt, which has been incorporated in three different ways. The result is acomposition that is sure to be enjoyed by both musicians and audience alike.
