Intrada Furiosa by young Swiss composer Gauthier Dupertuis is an energetic opener for wind orchestra, featuring brilliant fanfare writing for brass and challenging lines in the woodwinds, as well as more lyrical parts. One of the goals of FC Music Publishing is to promote and develop the talent of young composers. The publication of Intrada Furiosa as the first work by Gauthier Dupertuis is a resounding example of this.

This piece was commisioned by The Norwegian Band Federation - Northwestern Region for an summer festival in Eid. Intrada Orientale recieved it's first performance there in 2012. It is a concert-opener with an oriental flavour, with challenging parts for all players. The composition is built around a driving snare drum part.

Intrada: Adoration and Praise - Claude T. Smith

This work is an impressive set of variations on the hymn tune "Praise to the Lord, The Almighty." The opening majestic statement is followed by challenging variations. Extra flair can be added with an optional antiphonal brass ensemble amid the dramatic conclusion. An impressive finale for concerts and ceremonies. A supplemental string set (CTS-7829-99) may be purchased separately for performances by combined band and orchestra.
