£60.99Air - Billy Joel
Written with a Grainger-like sensibility and an Irish charm, Billy Joel's emergence as a serious composer includes this beautiful air. The lyric opening, featuring optional Piano and solo for English Horn (or Alto Sax), leads to an invigorating dance-like movement with creative rhythmic and harmonic devices. Challenging for each section, yet certainly attainable and well worth the effort.

£61.00Air - Edvard Grieg
The Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg is still popular because of his theatre music for Ibsen's 'Peer Gynt' and his Piano Concerto opus 16. The suite 'Fra Holbergs Tid' (Holberg Suite) opus 40 was originally written for piano and then arranged for strings. Ludwig Holberg was a dramatist who got the nickname 'Molire of Northern Europe'. In this suite Grieg used several old dances (sarabande, gavotte, rigaudon) with completely new original harmonies. Willy Hautvast made this fine arrangement of the 'Air', a subtle andante religioso, extrac-ted from this suite.
