Pocket Watch

Pocketwatch is built on a relaxed, half-time groove that stays firmly "in the pocket," creating a steady sense of momentum. Quirky, playful melodies in the winds weave above constant ticking figures that emulate the sound of small machinery at work. Written for young bands in B-flat Lydian, the piece features an active percussion section that drives the motion and keeps the music moving forward.
