CLOUD DRIFT (Bassoon Solo/Programme Concert Band)

This solo features the lyrical, singing quality of the instrument that is often overlooked in favour of its more comic qualities. The music is slow and tranquil; evoking the memory of a moment out of time spent gazing up at clouds drifting across the sky.
