One of Johnson, Stuarts most popular works for concert band is A Circus Suite, and he has often been asked to write a sequel. During a trip to a fairground with his children he was treated to a succession of rides, perhaps more for their benefit than his own, but during this entertaining afternoon he was alerted to the musical possibilities of each.
