Alpine Overture takes its inspiration from the rugged and beautiful mountain ranges of the state of Washington. A majestic opening provides an accurate backdrop for the "rugged peaks." A smooth transition leads to the contrasting "Andante" which depicts the "peaceful mountain meadows" in a lovely, flowing style.
